Colombian Tamales

Welcome

Welcome to the Tutorial "How to make Colombian Tamales".

Tamales are one of the most traditional Mesoamerican dish made of dough (starchy, and usually corn-based), wrapped in a corn husk or banana leaf. (Wikipedia).

The Spanish singular for tamales is tamal, which is derived from tamalli, coming from the ancient Nahuatl language used by the Aztec people. The English word tamale differs from the Spanish word by having a final vowel.

The tamale can vary a lot from its place of origen. In this tutorial you will learn how to make tamales from Tolima (Colombia).
