Preparing the Rest of the Ingredients
Carrots
- Peel the carrots.
- Slice the carrots about 1/2 inches. Cut at least 2 slices per tamale.
- Place the carrots into a pot with cold water.
- Cover the pot and bring it to a boil, lower the heat and simmer
until they are cooked.
- Drain and set aside.
Potatoes
- Peel the potatoes.
- Cut the potatoes about 1 1/2 inches thick.
- Place the potatoes into a pot with cold water.
- Cover the pot and bring it to a boil, lower the heat and simmer
until they are cooked.
- Drain and reserve the potatoes.
Eggs
- Place the eggs into a pot and cover them with cold water by 1 inch.
- Cover the pot and bring it to a boil, lower the heat and cook about 10 minutes.
- Drain, peel and slice each egg in 4 pieces.
